Game Preview: Browns vs Steelers

Today the 2-8 Cleveland Browns will try and kick the 6-4 Pittsburgh Steelers when they’re down. The Steelers are decimated at quarterback and receiver, and will be forced to start the 37 year old Charlie Batch at quarterback, and the recently signed Plaxico Burress will be getting a significant amount of playing time at wide receiver. The Steelers are 6-4, but the team taking the field today is not the team that won them six games.

The Browns will need to play smashmouth football and beat the Steelers at their own game. They will need Trent Richardson to pound the ball up the heart of the Steelers defense, and hope their defensive front seven can make Charlie Batch fear for his life.

If the Browns can establish a running game and control the clock, and then pressure Batch on the defensive side, than the Browns will have a perfect opportunity to kick the Steelers when their down and hurt their chances of making the playoffs as an AFC Wildcard team.

The game will be played at Cleveland Browns Stadium at 1:00pm EST today.
