After suffering a rib injury in Sunday’s victory against Cincinnati Richardson says he will be ready to go Sunday in Indianapolis. This is great news for Browns fans who have been holding their breath ever since Richardson failed to return Sunday. Montario Hardesty filled in nicely, but lacks the explosion of the potential offensive ROTY.
If Richardson is able to go and receives the bulk of the snaps he is in for a career day. The Colts run defense is among the worst in the league as they displayed last week against the Jets allowing 262 yards. Once again I will say it, Brad Childress must stick to the ground game. Brandon Weeden has been playing well and should get a chance to throw the football. But, Childress needs to take a page out of the Jets playbook for this one. Sanchez threw the ball 18 times against Indy they ran it 40. Whether or not Richardson is 100 percent the Browns should be running the ball 35 plus times Sunday.
