With Hillis missing from action again on 10/30/2011 against the 49ers, the Browns needed one of their other running backs to step up and do some damage to the 49ers stout run defense. Unfortunately, the Browns had no answers and they were unable to get anything going outside of 45 yard strike from McCoy to Cribbs and a 52-yard field goal from Dawson. The positives of the game are that McCoy did play better and completed at least one pass to 7 different receivers, and at least 2 passes to 6 receivers. However, nothing was going for the Browns with their ground attack. Their leading rusher, Ogbonnaya, had 37 yards on 11 carries. The Browns need Hillis to come back soon, and they need him to be motivated to run the ball with authority.
Next week the Browns will travel to Houston to play the Texans. Check back often to this Cleveland Browns blog to get all of your necessary Browns news.
